Adobe Certified Training Provider
Definition: This certification is for training businesses, individual instructors, and academic institutions that teach Adobe products. With proven training ability and expert product knowledge, ACTPs are qualified and highly skilled in teaching Adobe software.
To Obtain:
* Candidate must hold an Adobe ACE certification. This costs approximately $150.
* Must have proof of instruction skills. Acceptable qualifications include the Certified Technical Trainer (CTT) ($285), Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), Certified Lotus Instructor (CLI), or Certified Novell Instructor (CNI) credential.
* ACTP application takes 4-6 weeks to process.
* Applications must be submitted online.
* There is no fee to join the ACTP program.
ASAP
ACCELERATED SAP
Definition: This certification is designed for ERP professionals who work with AcceleratedSAP. Certification is available in one of the following areas: Customer Solution Strategy, AcceleratedSAP Implementation, and Continuous Business Improvement.
To Obtain:
* You must pass exam in desired area (Customer Solution Strategy, AcceleratedSAP Implementation, and Continuous Business Improvement).
* The exam costs approximately $500.
* Exams last one hour and consist of 40 multiple choice questions.
* Exams are administered at SAP facilities.

AWP
Associate Webmaster Professional
Definition: This beginner certification sponsored by WebYoda is designed for those who are new to web development and are looking to learn how to design static web pages and simple web sites.
To Obtain:
* Although it is not required, it is recommended that you complete three courses (online or classroom) available through WebYoda. Each course costs $95.
* You must pass the AWP exam.
* The exam costs $35 if you have taken the courses and $70 if you take it independantly.
* The exams and courseware are all available to be completed online.
BCIP
Brainbench Certified Internet Professional
Definition: The BCIP certification is designed for web developers, designers, and administrators who want to demonstrate proficiency in Internet-related technologies. The requirements consist of core exams as well as application- related exams.
Requirements:
* Must pass six online exams ranging in price from $19.95 to $39.95 each. Some exams are free.
* Three certifications are available: web designer, web administrator, and web developer.
BEA
Definition: The BEA Certified Enterprise Developer Program offers certification for most supported BEA WebLogic Server versions.
To Obtain:
* Pass one exam:
o BEA WebLogic Server 7 Enterprise Developer Exam
o BEA WebLogic Server 6 Enterprise Developer Exam
o BEA WebLogic Server 5 Enterprise Developer Exam
* Each exam costs approximately $200.
* You must fill out the online form at Bea's website to enroll in the Developer Program. You will recieve a welcome kit once this is complete.
* BEA recommends approximately 6 months hands-on experience with BEA WebLogic Server 5.1, 6.0, 6.1 or 7.0 & object oriented design and analysis experience.
* It is also strongly recommended that you take the associated training courses (WLS-D11, WLS-D21 and WLS-A11) before taking the certification exam(s).
* Recertification is required if you are two versions behind. I.e. if you took the certification exam for version 4.51 you need to update your certification to 6.0. However, if you are certified on 5.1, your certification will remain valid until a version beyond 6.0 is released.
* Registration for the exam is available through Prometric.
*BEA participates in the jCert certification at the 3B level of Enterprise Developer certification
BRAINBENCH
Description: Brainbench provides an online service that allows certification on a very wide range of products and specialties. Many of the 375 exams are free. For those that are not you can pay $19.95 for a single exam or $189 for a one year subscription service. Either way, Brainbench maintains an online transcript which you can distribute at will.

* You must pass Designing Cisco Networks (DCN) exam #640-441.
* You must also sign the Cisco Career Certifications Agreement.
* The exam costs approximately $125.
CCDP
Cisco Certified Design Professional
Definition: A certification designed for individuals who design complex routed LAN, routed WAN, and switched LAN networks of 100 to more than 500 nodes, that utilize Cisco routers and switches.
To Obtain:
* You must first earn the CCDA and CCNA certifications.
* Must pass the Cisco Routing exam #640-503.
* Must pass the Cisco Switching exam #640-504.
* Must pass the Remote Access exam #640-505.
* Must pass the Cisco Internetwork Design (CID) exam #640-025.
* You have the option of taking a single, composite exam called the Foundation R/S exam (#640-509) in place of the routing, switching, and remote access exams.
* Each exam costs approximately $125.
* Must recertify every 3 years by passing the CCDP recertification exam.

CCIE
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert
Definition: This expert level certification is one of the most respected in the industry and will demonstrate your level of Cisco networking expertise, design savvy, and trouble-shooting ability for large, diverse networks.
To Obtain:
* You must first select one of three certification tracks:
o Routing and Switching,
o Communications and Services, or
o Security.
* Must pass a written exam. The written portion costs $300 and will consist of one of the following exams:
o Routing & Switching 350-001,
o Security 350-018,
o Optical 350-020,
o Cable 350-021 or
o DSL 350-022.
* Must pass a hands-on lab exam. The lab exam costs $1250, and lasts a full day.
* Must recertify every 2 years by passing the CCIE recertification exam.

CCIP
Cisco Certified Internetwork Professional
Definition: Another professional level certification, the CCIP is for those who work with end-to-end Cisco solutions involving telecommunications technologies including including IP routing, IP multicast, cable, DSL, content networking or IP telephony.
This certification requires three exams, and although it's not required, a CCNA is a recommended prerequisite. You will have to recertify every three years by taking the CCIP recertification exam.
To Obtain:
* You must first earn the CCNA certification.
* Must pass the Building Scalable Cisco Networks (BSCI) exam #641-901.
* Must pass the Multicast and Cisco QOS exam #640-905. * Must pass either either a Cable, MPLS, or Security elective.

CCNA
Cisco Certified Network Associate
Definition: A certification designed for individuals who install, configure, and operate simple-routed LAN, routed WAN, and switched LAN and ATM LANE networks that utilize Cisco routers and switches.
To Obtain:
* You must pass : CCNA Exam 640-802
or Both ICND Exam .
* The exam costs approximately $200
* Must recertify every three years. Renewing or advancing to a more advanced Cisco designation automatically renews the lower level (CCNA) designation.

CCNP
Cisco Certified Network Professional
Definition: The next level above a CCNA, this certification is designed for those who install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and Dial Access Services that utilize Cisco routers and switches; and for whose organization's networks range from 100 to more than 500 nodes.
To Obtain:
* You must first earn the CCNA certification.
* Must pass the Cisco Switching exam #640-604.
* Must pass the Remote Access exam #640-605.
* Must pass either the Buidling Scalable Cisco Networks (640-603) OR Buidling Scalable Cisco Internetworks (640-901).
* You have the option of taking a single, composite exam called the Foundation R/S exam (#640-509) in place of the routing, switching, and remote access exams.
* Each exam costs approximately $125.
* Must recertify every 3 years by passing the CCNA recertification exam.

CCNS
Cisco Content Networking Specialist
Definition: A certification designed for individuals who wish to demonstrate expertise with Cisco content networking solutions, including knowledge of content edge delivery, content distribution and management, content switching, and content routing.
To Obtain:
* You must hold a Cisco CCNP or CCIP certification.
* You must pass two exams:
o Building Cisco Content Networking Solutions exam #640-925
o Cisco Content Networking Specialist v1.1 exam #9E0-600.

CEC
Certified E-Commerce Consultant
Definition: A non-technical certification designed for executives, managers and professionals who want to show demonstrated e-commerce business skills.
To Obtain:
* There are three ways to obtain the CEC:
o You can pre-qualify if you have 3+ years of documented e-business experience or if you are a technology executive.
o You can use current college credit if you have completed a concentration, minor, or certificate with a focus on technology or the internet.
o Take the CEC Interactive Courses which can be completed online in just a few weeks.
* You must have 2 years of research, study or work experience.
* You must agree to abide by the ICECC code of ethics and Professional Ethics Standards.
* There is an annual renewal that requires you to complete 15 hours of ICECC approved education per year.

CISSP
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Description: This certification is designed for experienced professionals who are responsible for developing the information security policies, standards, and procedures and managing their implementation across an organization.
Requirements:
* Must have four years (or 3 years with a college degree or equivalent life experience) of direct work experience in one or more of the ten test domains of the information systems security Common Body of Knowledge (CBK).
* Must subscribe to the (ISC)² code of ethics.
* Must pass the CISSP exam. The exam lasts up to six hours, and includes 250 multiple choice questions.
Costs: The CISSP exam costs $450. Last minute registration costs an additional $100.
Recertification: Every three years recertification is required. You must earn 120 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits and pay the $85 recertification fee.

MCDBA
The Microsoft Certified Database Administrator
Definition: The Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) credential is the premier certification for professionals who implement and administer Microsoft SQL Server™ databases.
To Obtain:
* Must pass three exams: three core exams and one elective (70-015, 70-019, 70-155, 70-175, 70-216, 70-276).
* MCDBA candidates are required to pass one SQL Server administration exam (70-028 or 70-228) and one SQL Server design exam (70-029 or 70-229).
* MCDBA candidates also have the option to pass either one Windows 2000 (70-215) or one .NET Enterprise Servers (70-275) exam to fulfill the networking systems core requirement.
